The guide was amazing. She had such a wealth of background knowledge about the area that she answered every question as well as expanding on it. I could see she really enjoyed her what she did with enthusiasm and eagerness. It was a truly amazing experience.

Wow, it was so interesting. I am seriously born and bred Melbourne, lived here for 50 years in inner 'burbs and worked and walked these city streets probably thousands of times and thought I knew my patch pretty well.
This tour was the next level. My Melbourne will never be the same to me again, for which I am truly grateful. I liked it so much we're booked on the Degustation Tour. In many of the scenes, you may recognise some of the characters from previous years such as from Alice to Wonderland Myer Windows to the Elf from The Perfect Christmas Myer Windows You may even spot some of the vintage displays and models from Melbourne Museum's Make Believe exhibition about the Myer Christmas windows, such as scenes from The Wind in the Willows.
I actually really love how they've reused and recycled old puppets and scenery to tell a new story. If your kids are old enough like Lady AB at 9 years old it's a fun game to try and recognise previous characters inside the windows.
At the last window, a display in front of Flinders Street station's clocks, I ask Lady AB what she likes most about the Myer Christmas windows this year. I can see a family with coloured paint all over them from Holi. There's a girl in a hijab. And a person in a wheelchair and a little indigenous boy. And look!
