Shrek goes to the local bookstore in Far, Far Away to try to find a present for Fiona, but since he does not know what Christmas is all about, the shopkeeper Marissa Jaret Winokur gives Shrek a copy of Christmas For Village Idiots , a step-by-step guide to celebrating the holiday. Shrek proceeds to follow the book's advice by decorating the house and getting a tree so he can spend a quiet Christmas Eve with his family, but Donkey brings the entire "family" to the swamp, ruining Shrek's plans.
As Shrek tries to tell his own version of " A Visit from St. Donkey tells of floats coming to the swamp. At the end, Donkey tells of licking an enormous Santa figure that is made out of waffles, but in reality he accidentally starts licking Shrek's leg. Puss tells his version of the story of Santa Claus, but ends up playing with the ball point of his Santa hat, while in reality he is playing with one of the baubles from the christmas tree.
However, Gingy's story is not happy, but horrifying, as he tells about how his girlfriend Suzy got eaten up by Santa Claus. To which Donkey finds it unbelievable, with Gingy screaming "You weren't there! Donkey finds Shrek's Christmas for Village Idiots book, and the ensuing fight over the book destroys all of Shrek's decorations, furniture and the tree.
Shrek then loses his temper and ends up ejecting his friends from his house. Shrek's hut was the main entrance into the experience, and it was spot-on from the movies! To give Shrek and his friends life, a team of 40 artists actually came all the way from China. Upon arrival, they spent a month in the Kissimmee area sculpting and crafting these giant works of art made from 2 million pounds of ice. After the attraction was completed, 10 of the artists remained behind to continue freshening up the ice during its' holiday run.

I loved the different versions of the Christmas story, and laughed at them. Near the end when Santa started to come and the gingerbread man seems him and says "Santa! Really enjoyable, minute Christmas special from shrek. I like Dreamworks animation just as much as I like Disney animation.
This was very cute for the holidays. Silly, but sweet. Eddie Murphy has always been silly, but I like his movies. This one is definitely short because I saw it on the ABC network and there were lots of commercials. And I do agree with one of the other reviewers, that this could have been made into a much longer film. I gave it a solid 7 star rating because it was great! It has a good 'family' touch to it. It makes you wonder just what we consider a family.
We have an immediate family which I learned while I was in the military and that's your spouse and children or mother, father, sister and brother.
And then we have our secondary family, which is everyone else related to you by blood. But I think family should be the entire universe of people. People all over the world, join hands, start a love train. Seriously, but watch this 21 minute short animation.

Onions sprouted from the ground, yet again came another disturbance, several swamps started to dry and cities appeared, one of the layers had changed into now called Lord farquaadist, he was and is the fallen layer. Shrek yelled "what are ya doin in ma swamp" and thus begun shreksodus. Half Star. Shrek had been banished from his own swamp, swamps were paved and cities grew.
This was Shreks darkest hour. A Farkwardist dragon, had kidnapped the Princess of the city, Shrek was indifferent. All star The prophecy spoke of a knight to save the princess, Shrek however was forlorn he had lost all but one of his great life giving swamps.
He only wanted to stay in his swamp. But Then an anti-farquaadist donkey had appeared, to Shrek. The Shrekorsist had appeared. Shrekorsist Shrek had never wanted to leave his swamp. But with the birth of the dark Lord Faquaad, he had no choice but to return. He appeared in the city, where Faquaad challenged Shrek. Shrek was sent to fight Farwuaad's guards. He famously quoted "Can't we just settle this over a pint, he proceeded to Shrek the guards. I remember annoying Rotten Tomatoes forums ages ago with my love for Shrek, and a decade later Shrek became cult on Youtube.
This little 22 minute marvel accomplishes what Shrek the Third could not: it is consistently funny and works well on its own. Shrek the Third was mildly amusing, while this is side-splittingly funny.
It is also easy for most of the audience to relate to. Everyone has tried to create the perfect Christmas before, and everyone can relate to wanting to have an intimate Christmas with the immediate family. Some have commented that it bears a resemblance to the Star Wars Holiday Special, but I just don't see it. It breezes by without unnecessary musical numbers or "special guest appearances". All in all, an amusing little time-waster, and I hope that future editions of Shrek the Third on DVD come packaged with this as a bonus.
Tyypo 20 December If you took all the stock elements of a Shrek movie grumpy ogre, annoying donkey, cute kitty, obligatory dance number, etc. Painful to watch; I may have laughed once.
